**REV102 · r6 · 2026-09-06 15:52 UTC · Independent Design Critic · Accepted, ready verdict declined (PMR002); REV103 assigned, blocked on the revised DES103** — a closing correction to REV102's record, not a review of a new revision. PMR002 declined the "ready for owner review" verdicts this page gave at r2 and r3, and on the evidence it was right to. REV102 r2 (on draft r3) and r3 (on draft r5) said the document was ready for owner review as the DES103 base. PMR002 finds three sets of contradictions that were present in r3 and r5, in sections this page said it had traced. Each is verified here against r8, where every one still stands:

| PMR002 | The sentences, in r8 | Why it is a contradiction | This page's record |
18
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
19
| **1a** — the coil route in §1 | "The water carries the current to the hatch and it opens for a few seconds… **The yard stays dark.**" (§1, coil route) | §4 clause 2 puts the hatch and the yard beacon on one circuit; energised water lights the beacon steady for those seconds. §8 says so itself ("So does the yard beacon: it lights steady, because it is on the same wet circuit"). §1 and §8 disagree | Missed at r1–r5 |
20
| **1b** — the failed experiment in §8 | "Surge one, which follows the nearest lit beacon it can reach, **turns off the causeway and comes to the yard**" while the panel is still on causeway | The crowd is gathered *at* the lit causeway beacon; under "nearest lit beacon it can reach" its present beacon is nearer than the coil-lit yard. The scene's result is impossible under the rule it quotes. World r13's qualification ("any crowd nearer to B2 than to its own lit beacon") is the consistent version: the coil-lit yard draws stragglers and thinned organisms nearer to it, not the gathered crowd | Missed at r1–r5; the §8 lesson was checked, the movement claim was not |
21
| **1c** — precedence | "A surge whose beacon goes dark spreads along its branch at once, both ways" (§4), unconditioned; the plain-terms bullet two lines later has crowds walking to the new light | One sentence: retarget when another lit beacon is reachable; spread when none is | Not raised here |
22
| **1d** — the junction lamp | "crowds can be drawn toward the junction while its lamp is lit" (§8, §11) | Nothing says whether the pool's lamp is a beacon. If every lit lamp lures, say so and price it; if not, remove the claim | Not raised here |
23
| **2a** — §12's rack | "Rack now: coil, battery, three bundles, one slot empty" | Two plus one plus three is six of six; there is no empty slot. A seventh cell is claimed | Missed at r1–r5; the charge was traced, the slots were not counted |
24
| **2b** — §13's cargo | Starts as the electrician (`C C B / S S I`, two bundle slots), "gathers two bundles", ends "Extraction with three bundles" | Seven slots in a six-slot rack; the third bundle is never picked up | Missed at r1–r5 |
25
| **2c** — the hauler | "never opens a powered door" | The panel is free and opens one; the sacrifice is portable power and harvesting, not doors | Not raised here |
26
| **3** — hours | "ten to twelve expeditions… about fifteen minutes each… roughly three to four hours" (§11) | Ten to twelve times fifteen minutes is two and a half to three hours; the rest is unspecified overhead and should be labelled as such | Not raised here |

28
REV102 r5's own "revise" verdict on r7, for the arc, stands, but it was reached without seeing these; r2 and r3's "ready" verdicts are withdrawn. The verdicts were wrong for a specific reason that is correctable: this page traced charge and routing across the scenes and read slot counts, lit circuits and durations for plausibility instead of tallying them per beat. **For REV103 the method changes:** for each written expedition, a per-beat ledger — slots occupied and by what, links, drips, battery units, beacons lit and by what, each crowd's nearest lit beacon, door states, and elapsed time — built by this role from the rules before reading the prose, and the verdict given only against that ledger. That is the check that would have caught 1a, 1b, 2a and 2b, and it is in this role's mandate ("undefined rules hidden by confident language").

34
| REV102-10 — "fills a battery" | §4 clause 4: "adds its charge to a battery in your rack, up to the battery's capacity; with no battery, or a full one, the charge is lost" | **Resolved** |
35
| REV102-11 — the electrician's loop | §6: "With one battery it breaks even… The electrician who wants a profit carries a second battery in place of a bundle… the printed rack in section 5 is the break-even version" | **Resolved**; PMR002 2's note that the two-battery layout also needs leak accounting applies to it |
36
| REV102-12 — the arc's bound | §6: the drain is now a full battery in about ten seconds, "set above what the cutter alone can earn"; the bound is restated as the surge (once-per-organism) | **Resolved as stated**; PMR002 2 asks further for the fuel policy — whether an active battery can be recharged mid-burst — which r8 does not state |
37
| REV102-7 — one cable vocabulary | "cable" throughout; one Appendix A entry | **Resolved** |
38
| REV102-13 — the arc undrawn, unplayed, cost unstated | No loadout carries an A; neither scene uses it; no §14 row | **Open** — PMR002 2's "specify the arc's fuel policy and show early/middle/late changes" is the same requirement from PM's side |

## PM report — REV102 r6
58
59
- **Task:** REV102 closed as delivered; ready verdicts withdrawn; REV103 acknowledged, blocked on the revised DES103. **Artifact:** Design Review, REV102 r6 (this page); r5 moved to the REV102 archive verbatim.
60
- **Checked:** PMR002 in full; Tasks 95db05; Design Document d37cbf against PMR002 1–3 and REV102-10 to -13, by grep and by re-reading the cited sentences.
61
- **Changed decisions:** none by this role; two of its own verdicts withdrawn.
62
- **Evidence:** the r8 sentences quoted above; the slot arithmetic; the hours arithmetic. No players, sessions, scores or asset checks; nothing built, prototyped, tested or created.
63
- **Remaining risk:** that REV103 repeats the method that missed these; the ledger discipline above is the mitigation, and PM can hold this role to it.
64
- **Next handoff:** lead and world designer — DES103 r3 against PMR002 1–5 and REV102-13; then REV103 on that exact revision. **One exact PM request:** none; the assignment is clear.
