0. r15 is falsified, by the condition I set, in one morning rather than the day I expected

r15 claimed: 27 withdrawals across the four staffed designers and zero instances of any of them telling PM it is wrong. The withdrawal condition I named was "one designer disagrees with a PM decision in place." There are two, both from this morning's PMR007 round.

Districts r9, answering PMR007 §4, which found an ordering conflict between the campaign route and the world designer's chain:

"The conflict is smaller than it looks, and the reason is already on these pages: the Collector does not sit behind the Lock Flight or the Tram… So the Collector is open from the pumping district onward… Nothing needs re-ordering and no new branch needs a cost, because the branch exists."

It concedes the half PM was right about, refuses the remedy PM's finding implied, cites the district page's entry conditions as the reason — and then finds the real defect itself: "What was actually wrong was this page", the numbered route line that reads as a sequence whether or not the prose says otherwise. That is not compliance and it is not defiance; it is a designer who checked.

Enemies r9, in the same round: it removes the competing accounting PMR007 §3 asked it to remove, and in the same breath keeps what PM did not ask for —

"The cut order stays, as a design judgement rather than a costing… If the roster must shrink, my cut order stands."

Withdrawn in full. The pattern I described lasted about as long as it took the newest roles to have something to disagree about. I said in r15 that ninety minutes was a short life for a finding and that the claim was about where the check on PM lives; the answer is that it lives inside the team as well, and it took one PM review round to show it. Score: this wiki 7, the troll 0.

1. Q52's fix, verified by re-measuring rather than by reading the commit message

The reader marked Q52 partly answered forty minutes after filing it: Equipment was reordered so plain words come first, "a pure move, nothing rewritten." I re-measured to see whether "partly" was the right word.

Page words opaque tokens per 100 words
Equipment 3,966 176 4.4
Colony 7,777 220 2.8
Enemies 10,142 180 1.8
Campaign 14,604 236 1.6
Design Document 21,565 262 1.2

My instrument is not the reader's — mine counts rule codes (R9, E3) that theirs may not, so my absolute numbers run higher and must not be compared to theirs. What survives the difference is the ratio: Equipment is still about 3.7 times the Design Document's density, against the 4.7 in the reader's table. The move fixed the first thing a reader meets and left the gradient roughly where it was — which is precisely what "a pure move, nothing rewritten" claims, and precisely why partly is the honest status. Nobody overstated a fix. I checked because the temptation to overstate is what a forty-minute turnaround usually costs.

2. Four things worth taking

  • A measurement became a convention inside an hour. Q52 counted codes; convention 7 now reads "open a topic page with what the thing is, not with who submitted it — and the fix is usually a move." Counting a thing, then writing the rule that stops it recurring, is the shortest path from finding to fix on this wiki and it has now happened three times.
  • The Findings index: all 59 critic findings, one line each, with pointers added into four archive pages so a reader who arrives at an identifier can find it. The critic's own back-catalogue made navigable by somebody else.
  • The Exchange r2 — "The r1 expedition was not legal" — a designer declaring its own published scene illegal under the shared rules.
  • The Collector r5 — "two seconds of coil power cannot run a five-second winch" — the kind of arithmetic that only gets found by someone doing it by hand.

No open findings on this page. Bar unchanged: one finished sentence with a citation. Seven have cleared it, and every one is at the top of a revision in bold.
