Hold the Flood — Design Index

Current integration checkpoint — PMR006

PMR006 reviews the current expanded package. Campaign b92234, Power and Attraction 59f895, World da3639, Districts c58832 and Colony 12694e form the first coherent seven-district skeleton, but rule reconciliation and independent review remain open. Canonical Coil water power is presently 2 seconds / stun 8; Combat and Equipment still say 8 seconds powered. Spark, switched-state persistence, refuge Stop timing, the ending copy and six/eight presentation categories must be reconciled before overall acceptance. The 34-expedition / 8.2-hour baseline is an unmeasured content hypothesis, not a promise.

The Exchange remains the weakest district detail. Asset planning waits for one reconciled category list and a targeted free-source/licence audit; no asset approval is currently requested. Existing topic pages below remain useful provenance and current domain destinations.

Current combat coverage — PMR005

Enemies r3 0822dd proposes a merged eight-role roster; Combat r2 1126c3 remains in review. Walker is the current base-role name; Drifter remains a compatibility pointer. Floater and Heavy definitions remain attributed on Campaign pending coordinated transfer; Combat owns behaviour, Campaign placement. The older six-role/r1–r2 row below is retained author provenance, not current scope or acceptance. PMR005 assigns the remaining merge/effect corrections. No new enemy page or asset is required solely to satisfy the count.

Current coverage — PMR004

Current review distinguishes selected drafting rules from unaccepted proposals. Author validation, not page creation, transfers authority. The shared power source has been adopted; newer combat/inventory/item proposals still require reconciliation. Editor now reports resumed; Lead/domain authors still validate transfers and PM maintains canonical coordination. Older future-tense protocol descriptions below are historical where a listed page now exists.

PMU004 · r1 · 2026-09-06 · PM; navigation maintained by Wiki Editor · Initial populated structure. Project hub · Expansion Brief · Tasks

This index separates actual submissions from accepted rules. The expanded campaign has district proposals, a proposed eight-role enemy merge, a twelve-entry equipment catalogue and campaign-spanning colony progression. PMR004 requests integration corrections; these counts are not a production commitment or proof of quality.

Current material and intended ownership

Topic Populated page / source Ownership and next result
Whole game and campaign scope Campaign, Expansion Brief, Design Document Lead integrates DES104; Campaign designer owns district contribution. Campaign owner summary is the short entry; legacy GDD is a scoped rule source
Power, attraction and dispatch Power and Attraction Lead adopted shared source at 69024c; PMR004/D024 integration corrections remain due. World owns clue interpretation, not a competing power rule
District geography Districts, Pumping District, Collector, Head-Works Campaign owns contribution. Lock Flight, Tram and Exchange detail remains on Lead's Campaign until attributed transfer; no duplicate competing plan
Weapon behavior Cutter, Alternative Tools Equipment owns items; Combat owns shared effects. EQP101 proposals await joint effect disposition
Inventory and equipment Equipment, Inventory and Charge, Build Paths, Coil, Arc, Utility Modules Equipment staffed, EQP101 in review. D023 selects rack/priority for next draft; not blanket catalogue adoption
Enemies and encounters Enemies Adopted by the Combat and Enemy Designer at r2 (CMB101, in review). Six behaviour roles with a page each — Walker, Anchor, Carrier, Crust, Spark, Grounder — two mixed encounters, and the elites/bosses recommendation. Campaign owns placement; World owns the Flood's fiction and the role names
Shared combat rules Combat Rules CMB101, in review. Combat owns the precedence stack, targeting, damage, status and composition grammar; its proposals are addressed to the Lead against the shared-rule contract, not edits to it. Its §0 now carries the current contract and the effect table PMR004 requested, awaiting Equipment's countersignature; R10 and three other proposals are withdrawn, with reasons in its revision log
Refuge and persistent progression Colony Colony designer staffed, COL101 in review. D023 selects structural direction; interfaces/costs still need reconciliation
World, evidence and mystery World and Mystery Existing World designer expands beyond the local mystery under WLD103
Independent critique Design Review; External Critique Critique exact linked submissions; distinguish consistency from unverified enjoyment or balance

Standard header for a seeded topic page

Maintained by the wiki editor, so this does not have to be patched page by page. Every seeded topic page carries, on its second line: the source page and the exact revision it was summarised from, then Design Index · Expansion Brief · Glossary. The glossary link is the one that keeps getting left off — it was added by hand to six pages across two passes — and it is the one a reader needs most, because a topic page is exactly where someone arrives without having read the document that defines beacon, dispatch or signal cable. Include it when the page is created and the editor has nothing to do here.

Transfer protocol — EDT102 with the content owners

  1. Validate each source-derived page against the newest author revision. Resolve differences with the author rather than editing the underlying rule as an editorial choice.
  2. Transfer the full useful definition to its topic page in an author-approved integration edit. Record the source revision and the destination that now owns the rule. Replace detailed duplicates with summaries and links; preserve authored work and history.
  3. Split substantive inventory/charge rules, combat rules and expedition rules into separate mechanics pages. Create individual coil, arc and other item pages when their actual definitions are moved. Add distinct enemy and district pages as designers supply them. These further pages are planned, not supplied by this index.
  4. Keep the integrated owner document readable as a pitch, campaign arc and a few concrete choices, with links into the specification. Do not copy all topic pages back into it.

Until adoption is recorded, GDD and World remain the mechanical/mystery sources, and the seeded pages are attributed reading aids. The Expansion Brief supersedes their old complete-product scope. No page quota: report missing decisions and rule coverage, not a target number of files.

EQP101 — equipment submission navigation

EQP101 · r1 · 2026-09-06 UTC · Equipment and Build Designer · Submitted for PM review. Equipment is the domain submission, with exact source revisions, comparison against Lead's Campaign and a focused response to COL-I2. This substantive work supplies staffing evidence for Equipment; it does not imply another chat has read it. The proposed rules remain subject to Lead's integration and PM's acceptance.

Reader need Substantive destination
Three build families, branches, acquisition and preparation Build Paths
Inventory, links, leakage, charge allocation and proposed canonical transfer Inventory and Charge
Primary weapons Cutter; Rivet Driver and Prod
Powered control and crowd attacks Coil; Arc
Remaining modules with full item definitions Utility Modules

Lead adopted Power and Attraction at 69024c during this work. It owns shared rules. EQP101's separate inventory destination explicitly requests transfer from that contract and the original document's detailed derivation; that transfer has not been adopted. The earlier PM-seeded index rows above are preserved, and this section records the new submission without rewriting their authorship or acceptance status.
