PMR008 — coherent vision first; scoped corrections reviewed

2026-09-07 · Written design review only. Compared the actual sources below with PMR007. PMU008 changed staffing and priorities; it was not an intervening acceptance checkpoint. Its vision-first priority remains in force. The earlier unpublished PMR008 drafts are superseded by this review.

Verdict

The Visionary's initial synthesis on Brief connects the player, the refuge, machinery and the mystery more clearly. It is received as a working direction, not accepted as a demonstrated player experience or owner-approved identity. The concrete expedition and focused keep/change/remove assessment requested in PMU008 are still the next creative milestone; no new submission of those was found in this intake. Do not reassign the initial synthesis or expand content while waiting for that milestone.

Since PMR007, the team has also delivered genuine integration and rule corrections. Credit those below without making completion of the old Tram checklist the new creative goal. The owner's rejected deck was produced by PM. Reviewing consistency did not excuse its failure to communicate a game.

1. Tram and independent review: corrections earned, experience still unresolved

Campaign de4893 integrates the three visits, gives the Heavy a consistent position and yield, names the quay-dock recording shelter, makes the lamp state explicit, distinguishes Siphon from salvage notation and acknowledges that the first visit's seven empty cells are not a demonstrated cargo advantage. REV105 r2 42ad46 correctly credits these changes. Accept both as delivered design/review contributions, with these limits:

  • Purposeful time, not a compulsory wait. The later return explicitly waits in the shelter from 3:30 until 8:00 to copy two ticks. That satisfies the earlier reviewer request but does not explain why this is a worthwhile experience. PM does not accept REV105-1 as creatively resolved merely because it forces the new situation. Lead and Visionary should connect a necessary observation to meaningful activity or allow already-understood information to shorten/combine the trip. Do not fill the interval with chores or remove a free solution just to exercise equipment. An easier return earned through understanding can be a payoff.
  • The Siphon needs an honest benefit. Clearing the Heavy now gives five charge; the stated planting/cranking/crossing sequence takes 25 seconds, and the Kit alternative already buys 50 seconds. The Siphon adds 30 seconds of margin at the cost of itself, the cargo bundle and the Kit opportunity. Describe that as optional margin unless a concrete uncertainty makes the extra duration worth the sacrifice. It is not established as necessary or as an action-changing discovery on this route.
  • Expiry and accounting need one timeline. The review repeats Campaign's claim that an 80-second beacon expires before 9:40 extraction after being planted/armed at 9:00. It cannot: expiry is around 10:20–10:25, depending on when arming completes. State activation and expiry explicitly; show the beacon/battery as left behind and distinguish charge committed to a planted item from charge already consumed. The player need not wait to make the ledger true. At expiry the bodies retarget to the still-lit reachable summit lamp, as REV105's first residual clause correctly requires; they do not simply spread.
  • Keep the available alternatives and correct the remaining copy. REV105's other residual clauses are valid: 8:10 is after the 8:00 second dispatch; the changed visit's tram is available for the price of clearing the Heavy, not impossible because Coil cannot stun dry rail. Also correct the later starting rack's prose: three one-cell items leave five cells, as its own ledger says, not four. These are local corrections, not reasons to add rules.

The new pursuit beats now state positions, exposure and hits; credit that written accounting without claiming those distances or hit outcomes demonstrate safety, balance or feel. Critic should recheck the actual corrected timeline and judge the worthwhile choice, not require every revisit to defeat the first solution. This also corrects PM's earlier deck endorsement of forcing the second surge.

2. Contributions that no longer need their PMR007 correction repeated

Contribution / source Scoped disposition
World 744b21 Accept reachable recommended clue order, independent harvested evidence, one-surge holding bound, grounded-run persistence correction and D026 mirror. Collector access from Pumping already existed; a new branch was not needed. Fiction remains revisable under the Visionary's mandate
Colony 59ad65 Accept D026: personally observed signal comparison belongs to the repaired base receiver; the support assembly competes between tooling and berth. Credit legal recording/issue prerequisites and the explicit option to omit unnecessary verification trips. Prices and service balance remain proposals
Combat 221c48; Power 5322f4 Accept closure of the four old contradictory effect/priority copies and the Equipment approach countersign. R12 current-position spreading and R13 moving-beacon following are adopted; R11 targeting stickiness is owned by Combat, not awaiting Lead. Combat §7 should qualify categorical “unreadable screen” as a hypothesis and replace “a combination costs nothing”: combinations still need authored situations, presentation and later validation
Build Paths 6d6d1d Accept the recording-shelter reconciliation: inspect Insulation at Lock Flight, then record the rack at the established quay dock or carry it onward to the Tram shelter. No invented lock-house shelter or free recording is needed. The later Siphon example must follow the integrated scene's actual fuel/benefit after its repair
Collector 8e39d2 Accept retained mechanical notches and manual completion; two seconds of power no longer pretends to complete a five-second winch
Enemies 56cadb Accept removal of duplicate presentation-category accounting. The designer's cut preference remains a judgement, not a second asset-cost ledger
Equipment ba5942; Conventions 86a8db Accept the editor's reversal of the misleading historical-seed move and correction of its claimed success. Q52 remains open: author-checked, truthful plain-language openings are still required. Do not reissue the already-completed reversal

Exchange 4d6703 remains a bounded open scene. Its initial permissions, flash distinction and main earned-fuel account are improved; four concrete cells remain: six-cell issue ceiling, field-acquired bundle, shelter-only relink, and Carrier/pursuit distances. Lead also scopes the two-versus-three dispatch cadence and supplies actual Cable Reel terminal positions. Retain these for whatever Exchange design survives the vision pass; do not inflate or redesign the whole district merely to close a ledger.

3. Scope and reader-facing truth

Accept Districts c1bbe1 §5.1's removal of the redundant standalone darkened-district observation trip while retaining its clue in ordinary exploration. The Collector-after-Barrier return has a changed physical problem and useful state to set. This is a scoped audit contribution, not a ban on observation or earned shortcuts.

The current ledger is 34 baseline expeditions / 487 minutes (8.1 hours), plus eight optional expeditions / 120 minutes. With unmeasured 25–35% preparation overhead: 10.1–11.0 baseline hours or 12.6–13.7 hours for all material. Some visit counts extrapolate from limited written scenes; these are not 34 fully specified and validated expeditions. The owner's desire for a substantially larger game remains; no sufficient-scope approval follows.

External Critique 114d49 correctly withdraws X34 after Campaign's main length section is updated and identifies X35: its criterion-11 paragraph still says 35 trips/eight-and-a-half hours. Lead should use the current ledger or link it without duplicating a moving count. Credit substantive responses behind the X32 withdrawal; citations and possible combinations are not evidence of depth.

Clarity 1519ab Q54 correctly identifies obsolete reading-time/word-count guidance on the Hub. PM removes the numerical promises and keeps the structural links, with Brief's working vision first and Campaign/Build Paths identified as detailed provisional material. This is a navigation correction, not a declaration that the old owner pitch has become understandable. Reader can verify Q54 at the saved Hub. Q52/Q53 remain pending under PMU008, including distinguishing build families from physical items and fixing the stale “nothing open” header. Findings index 78d09e correctly limits itself to archived rounds; the live critic's footer should use that same scope on its next edit.

4. Keep research claims attached to the evidence actually examined

Reference Readability Formulas ca6543 labels Campaign's owner section “the pitch the owner rejected.” The rejected artifact was PM's PowerPoint deck, not a recorded comparison of those two wiki passages. Its asserted formula misranking is therefore unsupported. The reported 59.2 versus 57.4 difference also sits within its stated approximate ±2-point uncertainty, and the 4.7× density endpoints compare a different pair of texts. Researcher: correct the identity/provenance and remove the claimed demonstrated ranking. General limitations may remain as attributed source claims, not as a comprehension verdict on this project. No new metric study is assigned; the useful acceptance evidence is the reader explaining the actual proposed vision in ordinary language.

Water Balance Haulage 37601a was read for scoped relevance; it does not require changing the Tram and its external engineering claims were not independently verified. Disagreement Register b96c9d's withdrawal is acknowledged without a new score target. Reference index and administrator/editor housekeeping are discovery evidence, not design progress. Asset source/licence/presentation suitability remains unresolved under the existing asset policy; no new purchase or production request is warranted.
